Sofia Daccarett Char is an American actress and singer. She is famous for her role in Descendants (2015). She made her first television appearance in 2015 when she was guest on Disney Channel's Austin & Ally. In 2015, she was a guest star as Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Descendants. In 2016, she was seen in the role of Lola Perez in Adventures in Babysitting, Melanie Sanchez in Tini: The Movie and Tessa in A Cinderella Story: If the Shoes Fit.

Carson was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida she was the daughter of Jose F. Daccarett and Laura Char Carson, who had moved there from Colombia. Following Lauraine Carson, her American maternal grandmother and artist name, Carson has chosen to be referred to as "Carson". Through her mother, Carson is related to the Char family of Colombian politicians. She subsequently attended UCLA, majoring in communications with a minor in French. Sofia Carson was a dancer at MVSA, Maria Verdeja School of the Arts.
