Jennifer Carpenter Bio
American actress Jennifer Leann Carpenter was conceived December 7 1979. She is most well-known for her role as Debra Morgan on Showtime's Dexter. In 2009, she was awarded the Saturn Award. Also, she was recognized for her role as Rebecca Harris on CBS's Limitless. In the year 2019, she began as Erica Shepherd, the lead character in the NBC drama The Enemy Within. Carpenter was first acknowledged for her performance as Emily Rose in The Exorcism of Emily Rose. She took home the 2006 MTV Movie Award for "Best Frightened Performance", and also received a "Hollywood Life Breakthrough Award". She was also named Breakout Performer during the 2006 Scream Awards. In 2007, she began dating her Dexter co-star Michael C. Hall. They married on the night of New Year's Eve, 2008 in California. In January 2009, they publicly made their first appearance as a couple the 66th Golden Globe Awards. Hall and Carpenter issued their December 2010 statement in which they announced that they had filed for divorce after having been separated for "for a while". The divorce was finalized in December 2011 due to irreconcilable disagreements. But, the couple remain close friends. Carpenter and Seth Avett, musician, were announced to be married and expecting their first child on February 10, 2015. Carpenter was eight and a half months pregnant at the time she appeared on Limitless' pilot episode. Carpenter and Avett were married in May of 2016.
