Kristin Landen Davis Bio

Kristin Landen Davis is an American Emmy Award-nominated actress as well as an American Golden Globe-nominated actress is most well-known for her character in the role of Charlotte York Goldenblatt, on HBO's Sex and the City. Her parents divorced when she was a child and she was the sole child. When her mother Dorothy who was a university data analyst, wed Keith Davis, University of South Carolina psychologist Keith Davis, a psychologist at the University of South Carolina, took her in as an adoptive child. After her first marriage she was blessed with three step-sisters. In her early years, she and her parents relocated to Columbia, South Carolina, in which her adoptive father worked as provost and teaches psychology at the University of South Carolina. Davis was a passionate actor from the age of 10 when she was part of the community theater production Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Davis lived in South Carolina until she graduated from A.C. Flora High School in 1983. After graduation from A.C. Flora High School in 1983, Davis emigrated to New Jersey and attended Rutgers University. Davis hosted the VH1 program 200 Greatest Pop Culture Icons. In 2005, she was a star in a TV pilot titled Soccer Moms in which she along with Gina Torres star as suburban mothers who also serve as private detectives. She was also Miss Spider in Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Kids, and its sequel Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends. Following the wide release of the Sex and the City feature film in June 2008, Belk.
