2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps is an American rapper and hip-hop artist better known as 2 Chainz. Georgia born, he formed the hip hop duo Playaz Circle together with a high school friend. Their first album, titled 'Supply & Demand" was a modest success. Epps followed that with 'Based on an T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200. It was a huge success. Within its first week, it sold 147,000 copies! After the album's release it was impossible to go back. He rose to fame as one of the most prominent rappers. He has been nominated for six Grammy awards so far, out of which he has been awarded one for his track 'No Problem'. After his bag containing marijuana and promethazine was discovered inside his luggage on a flight leaving Los Angeles International Airport, he was arrested. However, his run-in with the law hasn't impacted his popularity. His fourth and most recent studio album, titled "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music", came out in June of 2017. Based on a T.R.U. Story', the first studio album by 2 Chainz, can be considered to be his debut album and also his most successful one. It was a huge hit and climbed to the top spot on the US Billboard 200. The album was also sold out within a few weeks. The album sold 623,000 copies in a year. The album, which featured hit singles such as "No Lie' and 'Birthday Song' and'I'm Different' was also nominated for  the 'Best Rap Album', at the 55th Grammy Awards. Many reviews were mixed. 2 Chainz got married to Kesha Ward on March 31, 2013. The couple has three children: Heaven, Harmony, and Halo. He has a very successful career, but the man is also famous for his blunders in the legal system. Numerous times, he's been detained for possession of drugs.
