Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett is an actor from Canada. She is most well-known for her roles as Kari in movies such as "Apartment Hunting", "Men with Brooms" and "The Tree of Life." Born in Spalding, Saskatchewan and raised in the area, she later relocated to Alberta where she finished high school. She began to develop an interest in acting in her teens. She attended Montreal's National Theatre School to continue her training in acting. In Moscow, she was also enrolled in the Moscow Theatre School. In 1996 she made her TV debut as a character in the Canadian show 'The Rez. In 1996, she was an actor in the Canadian series called "The Rez.' In the latter part of 1990, she made her film debut with the film titled "Papertrail" and later appeared in films such as "Men with Brooms" and "Cypher." She also appeared in supporting roles on series' such as 'A Nero Wolfe Mystery,' and Blue Murder. While she continued appearing in films into the 2000s her film appearances were smaller than her TV roles. In 1998 she was the lead character in the show 'Colleen Blessed' in the Canadian drama series 'Power Play. The series received praise from critics and the public and ran for two seasons and 26 episodes. She was nominated for a  Gemini Award' for her performance in the show. Jude Lyon Matchett was her first child. But she didn't disclose the father's name. According to some reports, her ex-boyfriend is the father. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke met Kari Matchett around the mid-1990s. They began to date and were married in 1998. The marriage, however, was not long-lasting and the couple divorced in the year 2006.
