Mila Kunis Bio
Mila Kunis was born Milena Kunis in Chernivtsi Ukraine on the 14th of August in 1982. Kunis, seven years old, immigrated to the United States along with her parents Elvira and Mark Kunis. She eventually settled in Los Angeles. The Kunis family came to the United States with just $250. It was a difficult start. Kunis' parents, both of whom gave up their professional jobs to relocate to a better location for their children and were determined to create a better life for their children. Mark, a former mechanical engineer, quickly was employed as a taxi driver, and Elvira, who had taught physics in Ukraine and later became the manager of a pharmacy. Kunis admitted that he did not understand American culture at first. I didn't get the culture. I didn't understand their language. My essay for college began with this sentence: "Imagine being blinded and deaf by the age of 7." And that's kind of what it felt like moving to the States. But I got over it pretty fast." Milena Markovna Kunis, the daughter of Mark Kunis and Elvira Chernivtsi in Ukraine was born August 14, 1983. She has a brother who is older. Her mother works as a pharmacist as well as a physics teacher. Her father is mechanical engineer by profession. He doubles up as a driver of taxis. When she was seven years old, her family moved to Los Angeles. Rosewood Elementary was where she went to school. When she was just nine years old, she began acting classes. After being a part of commercials, she was cast in her first TV role, on Days of Our Lives', 1994. In 1998 she was cast as Jackie Burkhart in the hit sitcom "That 1970s Show". She received rave reviews for her performance, and was later requested to voice for the role on 'Family Guy' as Meg Griffin.
