Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos (Canadian actress) is Tracy Spiridakos. She was the Teletoon children's series Majority Rules' Becky Richards. From 2009 to 2010, she played Becky Richards in the Teletoon children's show Majority Rules! She was a star from 2009 until in the year 2010. She played Annika Johnson in the A&E TV drama Bates Motel. Since the year 2017, Spiridakos has been a part of the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. as Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the lead character. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Greek-born parents, restaurant owners George and Anastasia Spiridakos She has two brothers. When she was born, her family moved to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. She is deeply connected to her Greek heritage and can speak fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting when she was in junior high school. She also trained at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She was a graduate of Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos relocated from Winnipeg in 2007. She was able to get her first TV appearance on Supernatural within a matter of weeks. She worked in television for a few more years and was offered roles on Psych, The L Word, Hellcats and Bionic Woman. Spiridakos was a part of the TV movie Goblin as well as the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Also, she was a regular on Being Human, as Brynn McLean as the werewolf. In 2009, she was awarded her first role as a starring character in Majority Rules! Canada, where she played 15 year old Becky Richards. In 2011 she made her feature film debut in the film Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She also produced Kill for Me, a low-budget horror film by Michael Greenspan. The film starred Donal Logue, Katie Cassidy, and was directed by Michael Greenspan. Spiridakos was seen as Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original film, Rags. The character of Charlotte Matheson as a survivalist living in a dystopian future civilisation, was her leading role in the NBC TV show Revolution. She auditioned for the part when she attended her first pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos recorded the pilot in Atlanta and the initial season in Wilmington. For her performance on the pilot, she was nominated to win the Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV. She was beaten out by Anna Torv from Fringe's The Good Place. Production relocated to Austin, Texas for the series' second season.
