Rashida Jones was the younger daughter and media producer, mogul Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Kidada Jones is her older sibling. There are five half-siblings due to her father's other marriages. Her father is African American, and her mother is Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant from the emigrants who emigrated to Russia and Latvia). Rashida was raised in Reform Judaism.
