Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zurer is one of Israel's most
well-known actresses. She was born in Tel Aviv and was first noticed by
Hollywood when Steven Spielberg cast her in her first English-speaking role ,
Eric Bana’s wife in Munich (2005). Since arriving in the United States, Zurer
has starred in Studio films, including Sony Pictures' Vantage Point featuring
Dennis Quaid and William Hurt and Samuel Goldwyn's Fugitive Pieces with Stephen
Dillane, Paul Schrader's Adam Resurrected opposite Jeff Goldblum and Willem
Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons opposite Tom Hanks. Darling Companion is
an ensemble of Lawrence Kasdan which features Diane Keaton and Kevin Kline.
Warner Bros. Man Of Steel with Russell Crow. Ewan McGregor was her filming
partner in Rodrigo Garcia's Last Days In Desert. Also, she waited for The Last
Knights to be released by Kazuaki Kriya who is the Japanese director. For her
role as Hostages' lead actress, she won the Gold Nymph Award at the 54th
Festival of Television in Monte-Carlo. Ayelet received the Israeli Film And
Television Academy Award for her role as the lead in Nina's Tragedies. She was
nominated for her roles in the movies Only Dogs Run Free (from the Holy Apple
Field), Desperado, Rutenberg, and The Dybuk from Holy Apple Field. She was
awarded the Haifa International Film Festival critic's award, and a star in
Haifa's "film Boulevard" for her international and regional
achievements. Zurer was also awarded the Israeli Television Academy Award for
her performance in "In Treatment" that is an internationally
acclaimed TV show, which has been adapted to American TV by HBO. She was also
nominated for the most apt role in 2014's top drama "Shtisel", and
received the award for best actress in drama for her portrayal as a brilliant
surgeon in the dilemma of life and death in Hostages. The show was sold to BBC4
& Canal Plus and the American ABC. The "face " of one of
Israel's top women's fashion companies- Golbary. Ayelet is a producer as well
as author, and an illustrator of two adult titles, "Shorts" and the
most popular "Badolina" by Gabi Nitazn. Ayelet has been working on a
few of her own projects in Israel as well as the US, expressing desire to
collaborate internationally with directors from across the globe as well as
joining other unknown directors and writers as well as established ones.
