Amber Dawn Stevens West, born on October 7, 1986 in Los Angeles in Los Angeles, is an American actress. Her credits include Ashleigh Howard on ABC Family's Greek (2007-2011), Maxine on The Carmichael Show on NBC The Carmichael Show (2015) as well as Claire Davis on CBS' Happy Together (2018-2019). She was also in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) as well as 22 Jump Street (2014). In 2018 she portrayed the character in the role of Maya in Love Jacked, a comedy film. Stevens West was born Amber Dawn Stevens, Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of Shadoe Stevens, who was a radio announcer and model, as well as Beverly Cunningham. She has an older sister, Chyna, and an older half-brother from the paternal side, Brad. Stevens is a mixed-ethnic person, having been born to an Caucasian mother and an African American father. His mother is also Comanche. Stevens West graduated from Beverly Hills High School. She was featured in commercials on TV for Old Navy Verizon and Logitech at the beginning of her career. In 2005 she made her television acting debut on Complete Savages. Stevens West started playing Ashleigh Howard on the ABC Family comedy-drama TV series Greek in the year 2007. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette published a review shortly after the show's debut, calling it "light-hearted enjoyable" and "authentic". The New York Times stated that Greek "captures unlike any other the spirit of the age of hedge funds." The show was cancelled with four seasons. Greek has also been seen in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) and Fired Up (2008).
