Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American celebrity chef on television and former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. With her signature spiky blond hair and pumped-up personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals simple, easy-to-master recipes for the at-home cook on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell has also worked at some of the top restaurants located in New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy as well as competed on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. When she was growing up in the region of upstate New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food at very young. After earning an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the world of food and restaurant management by enrolled in The Culinary Institute of America. I was awed by every minute as a student The Culinary Institute of America she states. It was difficult to master enough and I could not do enough couldn't work hard enough. After graduating, Chef Burrell was able to spend a full year in Italy studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners during her time at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. In her time in Italy she learned to comprehend and appreciate the philosophy of Italian food and culture that created a lasting impact on her food standpoint. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that aims to make a difference in the lives of kids facing problems. Burrell is also a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador in which she promotes the awareness of juvenile diabetes. As an inspirational speaker, she makes trips across the country to speak about her passion for cooking and food, as well as to talk about her profession in culinary. Through her culinary adventures, Anne has always said I feel blessed to be able to share my true passion in life with others.
